Turning Point Scotland
The Project
Turning Point Scotland has a long history of providing high quality social care services to a range of people across Scotland, originally founded in 1964 under a different name TPS now provides a wide variety of unique services across many regional areas. Turning Point appointed The Zen Agency to provide a new intranet system. There were 3 key objectives which had to be met through the project:
- To provide Turning Point Scotland with an intranet system which is clean tidy and easy to use.
- To provide easy access to the intranet regardless of device
- To provide a useful site that enhances work practices, communicates key information, provides the right navigation tools, and helps define organizational culture.

The Results
The Zen Agency developed the new intranet system on the Umbraco CMS. This system is fully responsive allowing for ease of use on all platforms. The new platform is highly engaging through integration with social feeds, and a more flexible use of all media types including videos and compelling images.
Much like any website the focus for the project was providing an optimum user experience for the different user groups. Through the creation of different user personas and planned user journeys we were able to create a website which supported each user group and was ultimately intuitive in its nature.
The intranet has a whole host of functionality including a bespoke booking system, discussion forum and vacancies section.
Additional functionality such as allowing users to favourite specific sections will help increase overall productivity through the system.
