Bells Food Group

Revamping the digital footprint for one of Scotland's largest brands

Bells

The Project

Bells are now one of Scotland's largest brands, supplying baked goods to retailers all over the country. They are a family run firm which has been selling quality baked goods for over 80 years.

The firm began trade in 1931 when Donald Bell started a business baking scones in his mother's washhouse. Zen were appointed by Bells Food Group to develop their new website and create a new brand identity. The bakers were looking to create a sense of community online and required a contemporary, fresh and authentic online presence which would bring their current brand presence into 2012.

The site was to feature stunning graphic design, striking photography and have a range of interactive functionality which would engage the user.

Bells

The Results

We created a fresh new website which conveyed Bells heritage using contemporary design and stunning photography. We used our extensive experience working with traditional food brands and created a site which emits quality and tradition.

We created a stunning website which allows Bells customers to learn about the brand and its history. The site was fully integrated with social media which allowed Bells customers to keep in contact with the baker which forms a sense of community online.

The website ran successfully for a number of years.

Princes Trust Zen worked with Prince's Trust designing two mobile apps as well as conducted UX interviews and testing with young people enrolled in the program.
